I was too in the fact that it has a wire floor. It should be addessed to them.

Re: Surprised to see this on the critterstore

that is actually the cage I am using - my friend had it for her rabbit - the wire floor comes out & they are just in the bottom part which also slides out for easy cleaning. My husband built two floors inside so now it is a 3 level cage. This weekend he is expanding it to make 2 more floors next to it (attached). It acutally works out good for my living room where our whole family enjoys them.

Snickers, I don't mean to be rude, but I can not even see how you could fit 2 levels inside there?? No matter, it just seems too small and confined, but that is just my opinion.

Sorry.....

Re: Surprised to see this on the critterstore

It doesn't seem big enough for GPs, because GPs need ground space to run around in. Having extra floors doesn't really make up for the lack of ground space.

Or is the picture deceiving? Do they in fact have a large ground space, at least the same size as a 2x3 C&C? If not, I would recommend you build a C&C.

Please correct me if I am wrong.

Re: Surprised to see this on the critterstore

The picture might seem a little deceiving.. the bottom floor is actually pretty big , but I will measure it and let you know. My husband is attaching a tube to it this weekend that will lead from the 3rd level to a whole new other large cage. It is hard to explain, but as soon as he is done , I will post pictures to show.

Re: Surprised to see this on the critterstore

Well, here is a picture of my cage. After getting the "rabbit cage" from my friend - and after finding out about C&C cages - We are going to use this set-up for a month or so.. then switch the whole thing over to a 2X4 or 5
but they boys do enjoy the hard work my husband did for me.. and it is fun to watch all the things they do. It took Shmoe about 10 minutes to figure out the tube.. he loved it - and it took Joe 1 day to finally go through. I'll let my husband rest for a while then ask for the new one

Re: Surprised to see this on the critterstore

One of the best things about c&c cages is that they are easy to alter. The maximum I've used the same cage setup is around 8months. I think my boyfriend is about ready to draw up a contract for me.

Re: Surprised to see this on the critterstore

I've just started and my additions/changes don't last but 2 months before they get altered again. Now having two boys, I have to keep them interested. (that is justification enough, right?)
