To Poetess1000cavyspirit — YOU ARE SO RIGHT. Guinea pigs realize and appreciate clean cages with fresh bedding. I can't imagine not cleaning their cages at least twice weekly. I pack the shavings in a good 4-5 inches thick and then put a loose inch or two on top. They make little burrows into it and lie down for a nap. So cute.
