Re: From thirds to a herd?

Bathtime and cage building are done! I've got them in a 3x4 in the dining room, and I've moved my first three's 2x5 into my room. Boris and Snidely have been popcorning and chasing each other around in laps, I don't think they've ever had so much space. Hugo walked around a little bit, then chose a favorite hidey and settled down.

I also don't think that they've ever seen a vegetable. They seem to be overweight, the previous owner was feeding them oranges, junk pellets, and some kaytee nut treats of some sort. I'm glad that they at least had plenty of hay. The lady at the society asked me if I wanted the nuts, I told her no. I took some pellets though to mix in to the food I'll be feeding them.

I've put out parsley, cilantro, green peppers, and some cranberries. They aren't eating any of it. I'm sure they will over time, but it's heart breaking to see guinea pigs look at vegetables like they're aliens. My other piggies would chow theirs down in 5 minutes or less!

I have video of the baths, I'm working on getting it online.
