I know you said that you have all your grids used up in the main cage, but do you think it's possible to split the cage in two? I don't know how large your cage is, but if you can find something to keep them both in the cage so they have each others company, but are still separated by a wall of grids or some other material, then maybe he wouldn't have to chill in the tote until he gets adopted? Perhaps taking a large piece of cardboard and zip tying the ends to each side of the cage, so there is a barrier, but they're still not "alone"? Just a thought...

It's SO hard to tell sometimes what sex the pig is! It sucks that you're in that situation and I don't envy you, but I think it was really smart to come here for advice!!
