Re: Accetable towel substitutes for long-term use?

I only have a 2x3 w/ 1x2 upper loft. I look around at Goodwill a couple times a week for goodies. They always have fleece blankets that are already broken in for the wicking. I found a 100% cotton crib mattress cover that's very plush and quilted for $4.00. I tried it on for size tonight when I changed out my fleece and it was a perfect fit for the main level. Eventually I will make the beadspreads as you are and will definently use these. I have other pads that are not as plush from when my boys were little that I will use as the bottom layer. Our crib mattress and sheets have been passed on to our senior dog for a bed and now the piggies are getting the pads! I knew I hung onto this stuff for a reason!
