I'm asking this for a friend who is having a small crisis.
She has four sows in a largish cage, and did have 2 boars in another.
Unfortunately one of the boars died and she's now thinking it might be better to join the two cages together and put the boar in with the females as she doesn't think that Jezza will get on with another boar.
However, this means that there will be 5 guineapigs in a cage that is about 2 metres squared. (C&C alternative, fleece bedding). Is this too small for that many pigs?
I suggested that she move the boars cage next to the sows so they'll be near but her cage is made from a something that wont allow the
cavies to see through at each other.
Any replies would be very appreciated, thanks.
