Re: My guinea pig seems overweight, what should I do?

Kaytee has a cancer causing enzime in it. Spinach is also pretty gassy so go easy on that and apples/oranges have a lot of sugar - fruit should be like 2 times a week and that's it and parsley has a lot of calcium so it shouldn't be fed daily.

She should be getting bell peppers daily along with her greens to meet her Vit C requirements going to Oxbow should help a bit too as it has stabilized vit c in it. You should check out some of the sample menus at the top of the diet section as they lay out the kind of variety that two pigs need. Each pig needs 1 cup a day too (best divided up between two feedings if you can).

How much pellets do they get a day? They only need 1/8-1/4 of a cup each (so you shouldn't be offering more then 1/4-1/2 cup a day). I know I have one big pig who hogs the pellets so I've even broken up pellets further into 2 1/8 cup feedings for my boys to make sure the big one doesn't glut himself on them and nothing else.

Also are you giving them unlimited grass hay?
