Out of curiosity, did you try talking to her about it? Did you ask if she had anyone else interested when you adopted that might be interested? Just curious if that might be an option. I can understand being upset if she thought they were going to a good home only to find they are being rehomed a few weeks or months later, but she might not understand your situation.

I personally don't think there's anything wrong with being "picky" about the type of pigs she wants to adopt. Some people are drawn to certain types or breeds of animals - dogs, cats, etc. Pigs are no different. If she's willing to wait to adopt the animals she wants, I don't see that as anything negative.
Anyway, there's a classified section on Petfinder where you can list your animals and another thing that might really be a good idea would be to make up a little flyer or something and post it on a bulletin board at your vet's office. If they see it there, you at least know they have some sense of caring for a pet, at least that's the way I've always thought of it.
