Not Ranked. Helpful AND tactful post?
Exclamation 3 loving females - must stay together. North NJ

So it pains me to post this here, I'm still not certain I'm going to rehome my pigs, but I want to put this out there and see if I can find someone who would be interested in taking them in.

I've been posting here late 2007, when I got them. I came home with 2 females (Bean and Marley) and didn't know Marley was already pregnant - she had one beautiful baby girl that I named Freya.

So Marley and Bean are around a year and a half, and Freya is 3 months younger than them. They are all very sweet, do not bite, and while they run when you try to pick them up, they love being held. Marley will even lay down and stretch out and go to sleep on your belly if you hold her long enough.

The reason I am POSSIBLY looking to rehome them is because they are just becoming too expensive for me to take care of now, I'm in a very tight financial situation at home and want to pamper them and can see I'm not taking care of them as well as I used to because of these financial reasons --- but I'm hesitant on rehoming for this reason because I can see that things are going to change soon enough and so the financial issue isn't the BIG concern. The BIG concern is that I'm planning to move across the country by the end of the year, and I don't really want to put them through the stress of being on the plane (also most if not all the airlines that allow guinea pigs only allow 2 on board max) --- and so it just seems like it will be difficult to deal with.

It's really hard for me to even think about rehoming, but like I said I'm only posting this to SEE who would be interested.

Obviously it's hard to know exactly who you're rehoming to, but I want them to go to someone who knows how to take care of guinea pigs. I do NOT want them to be your kid's pet. An adult who knows how to be responsible with them, continue to use the C&C cage (that I will include), take them for their checkups, get them the RIGHT vegetables....

I don't think it would be a crazy request since I know many people who post here fit this description.

As I said, their C&C cage would be included as well as water bottle, pellet dish, toys.

I live in Bergen County, NJ.
