Which ones

Hi:

I have been using fleece for quite a while now and love it. Just recently made 2 sets of fleece pads with a layer of fleece on top and two layers of towels on the bottom, all sewn together. I line the coroplast with puppy pads and it all works well.

I have more fleece and wanted to make more pads but instead of towels (which were hard to sew through) perhaps use mattress pads. Are they absorbent enough? I have noted the ones I have looked at are polyester fill. Will the polyester absorb well? Currently I change out the cage every three days, but as the boys get older they have become stinkier (alas they cannot be potty trained and will pee over every inch of the fleece) and would like to have enough "pads" sewn that I can change them out every day and do a wash every 3 days or so.

What about throwing flannel in the mix?
