Re: Can't Find Pigs To Rescue??

For those who have long drives to the nearest rescues some rescues will meet you halfway after they approve you for adoption. Also, members from this forum and others like guinealynx can help set up piggie trains for very long distant trips. I live in the middle of no where in central Michigan. I've adopted three pigs from seven hours away and I had dozens of forum members offering their help to get them to me.

As far as buying from Petco: one of the main reasons to not buy from a petstore is so that you don't support the vicious breeding cycle. Sure, most of the pigs that are up for adoption on craigslist probably came from a pet store, but so do most of the pigs in rescues. But adopting them from someone off of craigslists means you aren't feeding money to Petco and their breeding machine.
