Long-term cavy-sitting?

Hi, I'm pretty new to the forum. I have two boys that I love dearly; they are so wonderful.
However, I have decided to apply for the Peace Corps. I don't know anything yet about whether or not I'll be able to volunteer, hence the part where I'm asking for advice, rather than asking for someone to take my boys.
I am also looking into friends and family that might be able to take them, but my question is, if I can't do that, what's the likelihood that someone would be okay with taking care of my cavies for two years, and then giving them back? I'd hate to have to give my boys up permanently, but if whoever got my boys fell in love with them, too, and wanted to keep them, or ... ? I don't know. Like I said, I don't know anything yet about whether or not I'll be able to go, bu I'm just starting to think about everything, and I want to make sure my boys will be cared for while I'm gone and I can go back to being a happy cavy-momma when I get back.
Advice? Ideas?
Thank so much,
changeling
