We got Billy today. He was quarantined in a locked room, until I deemed him healthy enough to join the girls - he was neutered. I came home after 2 hours away at my parents house with my kids for dinner. My rescue dog chewed THRU the door, tipped over the cage he was temp. in and killed him.
I am so angry with myself. I know I did what I thought was best - locked door, away from the other pets. But I feel like I should have stayed here the first afternoon with him here just to be safe.
So
Goodbye beautiful Billy, we were looking forward to getting to know and love you. You were here so briefly and my little boy is crying like his best friend is gone. I am so sorry you left here in such a horrible way. |
