(I hope this is the right section)
Metropolitan Guinea Pig Rescue recently took in a rescue of 22 guinea pigs, which is now up to 29 after just some of the pregnant females have delivered.
A guinea pig lover organized a great fundraiser for us, raising almost $1,200! This will go a long way toward the $2,000 it will cost to care for these pigs, in addition to their vet checks, spays and neuters.
What we really need now are fosterers and adopters, as many of these guinea pigs are now available for adoption! We are presently unable to take in new guinea pigs, and new fosterers would help us save guinea pigs from euthanization in area shelters.
Fosterers have all costs covered, except for veggies, and receive a discount on supplies for their own pigs. You don't even need a car!
Please let us know if you're interested in adopting a pig, or fostering, by filling out an
application. Please view
all of our available pigs here.
We look forward to hearing from you!
