Neutral : -2 (+2/-4) Most animal shelters do euthanize and you do not know with who or where they will end up. They usually do not get hay or veggies during their stay, only hamster food or stale rabbit pellets.
If they are lucky enough to be adopted, whoever adopts them may stick them in an outdoor wire hutch. They may even be split up as a bonded pair. It should be a very last resort.
IF you find yourself having to rehome them, you should do it on your own so you can educate the adopters and know where they are going.
It can take months to place pets, esp. in today's climate. They are not going to get that time in an animal shelter. The ones here only get a guarantee of 4 days. They have hundreds of other pets to care for and try to place.
You didn't get them from a rescue, did you? |
