You make a very good point. However, it was an urgent situation. They are being well cared for now and I believe the lady at the rescue will do a great job at finding them a good home. But I do understand where you are coming from. This lady and her husband are both retired and have a "the more the merrier" kind of attitude. She has more time to devote to rehoming them than I do. If this were a different situation, I would have taken the task of rehoming them on myself. Thank you for saying that though. It's a perspective I think a lot of people could use.
