Not Ranked. Helpful AND tactful post? : 0 Re: Man kills dog in metroparks | | I'm a little disturbed about the gun factor... I don't know what any states laws are about that so I won't comment. However I don't feel this owner did anything wrong defending his dog.
This is what I get from the situation. IMO the man with the leashed labrador was being responsible. Dog on leash. So please tell me how he could have been more responsible and trained it properly?? ((Not to mention if its a pup, training is probably in the works)). If another dog came and attacked this dog, no strength would have gotten this rotti off and this man could have been seriously injured himself trying. Any human getting involved in a dog fight takes serious risk of having the dog turn on THEM. So I'm sure he felt he did what was safe before his dog was killed or before he was attacked himself.
The owner of the Rotti, if knowing it was aggressive, the video on the first page states the dog had been running off-leash and chasing wildlife. How is that a responsible? Even if the dog broke lead, better precautions should have been taken by the owner for an aggressive dog.
I can say, if ANY dog was to attack mine ... I am not going to be nice and stand by and let it kill or seriously hurt my dog. I am going to do whatever I can to get it off and to protect myself and my dog. I have been intuation before. |
