I have two rabbits. Jamie and Patches. Jamie my male is the quietier of the two. He is not a big chewer. I have a cardboard box in his cage and it will stay in place. He likes to drag his treats in there and eat them. His litter box is never moved and he uses it faithfully.
Patches, my female, chews everything put in her cage. Not only is her cardboard house chewed to pieces she moves it everywhere. The same with her litter box. She pushes it around, empties it out and won't go in it. Then she likes to sleep in it. She uses a corner of her cage for all of her buisness. Her toys are all over too.
It just shows they too have their own personalities. Give your new bun some time to show you his personality. He may be a calm one like my Jamie or a wild women like Patches. Plus, new surroundings are new. What type of home did he come from? He will need veggies everyday too.
My brain is leaving me at the moment. There is a good rabbit site I think called
House Rabbit Society Rabbit Care Guide I will look it up and make sure I have it right. It has alot of info for rabbits.
That is the right site so look up and enjoy.
