I always encounter this with wheat grass. It usually only sprouts once and then you have to re-grow a whole new fresh batch. It's not you it's the wheat grass. You can grow it on paper towels in some type of dish/cup. I usually use a ceramic plant saucer to grow mine but I use a little bit of dirt. I think there was a thread on here at some. If I find the disscussion i'll post the link.
