My mother let go of the leash so my dog could defend herself. We live on a road and then down the road is the busy place. The dogs house is like 30 feet from the road. It was the only thing she could do. Yes, the dog will be going to the vet. We do plan on filing the report ,too. Just regular disinfiectant. We cleared it with the vet.
