Could a guinea pig not get their toes/claws stuck in that flooring?

I never really have the time to attempt to train them - having 8 guinea pigs, I just about get time to clean, water, feed and pet everyday.
When I was 12 and I had 4 guinea pigs and I would say 'up' to one of them when he was on my lap. He would then run up to my chest and sit there, and I would carry him back to his cage.
