Re: Who's right, Who's wrong?

I looked at the link about the Saint Bernardes. THere was a quote in there I thought summed up many of our feelings about this. It went something like this:

Quote:
If a chinese cannot understand understand why swiss people get so upset that they are eating St. Bernards, I would ask the same question: If swiss people ate China's Panda, how would Chinese feel?
I beleive that is the correct quote. The other link you posted was also a bit disturbing to me. I guess it was something about the THOUGHT of someone trying to do this. This reminds me oof a hilarious epsidoe of Scare Tactics. I saw it on youtube. I wonder if I could post on here? Mods....?

I think the correct form of action in the case of the minks was show the public what they were doing to these minks. Have them stop suppporting it and maybe that would have helped the situation. Wayyyyy to many animals suffered. I two agree that sometimes animal activists take it to far. I don't think this did anything to help the overall situation of all minks. Maybe the 2,000 or so that survived benifited from it. But the company will only get more with better secured area. It did nothing to helpt the situation of the other minks.
