Sounds normal. He is frightened by the change in his life. Make sure he is eating and drinking though. You may need to put food where he is hiding and his water near him. I covered the kitchen end of the cage with a piece of fleece so my newest girl thought she was hiding when she ate. There is a lot if info and people ready to help, Welcome! Read all of the "Stickys". Also, do you plan on getting him another male buddy, they do much better in pairs or groups. What kind of cage do you have for him, I strongly recommend a C&C. Nutrition is also very important!! Timothy pellets (Oxbow or KM are the best), hay at all times, water, fresh veggies and some fruit.
