People will have differing opinions on this, just like on everything else. In the end you will have to do what you feel is right for your animals.
Like I said before, I agree that small herbivores don't need salt licks or mineral wheels, and using it on new piggies that don't drink water is the only semi-good reason I read from my research.
I'm not here to argue, just passing on what I read.
