When I first got my 1st pig, I kept him in the pet store cage (for a few days) and I could tell he felt secure. He didn't have enough room to run around but definitely felt safe. A week later, I got his buddy and the bigger cage and they both started acting less afraid. It's like he needed a buddy to help him (plus he came from a group of 5, so he was likely lonely). |
