Yeah, they are too hyper to stay in one place and be held generally. A lot of them like to be scratched under the chin and behind the ears. With guinea pigs, picking them up and holding them helps with bonding usually, but with chins it's usually better to let them come to you. They remember things much longer and forcing them into anything usually doesn't help.
Okra got way more friendly after I had to hand feed her for a few days, which was a relief because I thought she would hate me forever! So maybe this works out like that. |
