I think you are right it is displeasure, because it sounds like displeasure!! So you are right on. But when they make the similar sound when alone in their cage, and occationally mount each other, then I think that is the rumblestrutting, dominance thing that clotho was talking about and are in heat??? Again, I am just learning and you guys know so much more then I do.
But, do they enjoy petting? Of course not close to their butts which they and this site has made very clear. They seem to be getting used to my petting their head and ears, but merely enjoy their favorite veggies at the same time. Is it my own personal pleasure that I am seeking to pet these guys? I have two, they are social, they have each other, a good home, lots of fresh veggies, etc. I am sure they are content and do not need affection form me, so, is it fair to force my ways on them, nicely. I hope this is comming across ok. Thanks for any advise |
