I don't think we should just accept that these animals have to die and thus try to figure out the best way for them to do so, though I do agree that a gas chamber is a horrendous method of euthanasia. The ultimate goal should be working towards a time when we don't have to euthanize perfectly healthy animals simply due to lack of good homes.
That can only happen if there are laws and consequences for those who insist on breeding more animals, and if there are penalties for those people who refuse to have their pets altered. |
