I agree that you can never be too old, but you can be too young, or ill prepared for the responsibility. All of the pets at my house are mine. My husband and kids just enjoy them. I wanted each and every one of them. I'm the one who cleans up after them, takes care of them when they don't feel well and the animals know it.
My kids aren't nearly old enough for pets of their own, but being a part of a pets care will prepare them for when they are older and on their own. |
