Killing defenseless animals could, and probably will make the soldiers less hesitant in real combat, especially when the enemies are armed/unarmed civilian.
I think that training soldiers to be able to kill innocent people is the whole purpose. Side effects including veterans appreciating less of their own or other lives are marginal cost compare to Power that political leaders achieve through it. |
