Um ... she *is* going to be taking on some of the debt, too, right? And she did give you some of the store credit, right? If not, then she really is a !@#$ (sorry, but it's true) and perhaps you ought to look into a small claims court settlement. There's no reason in the world why you should have to take on all the debt by yourself.
