Not taking Vitamin C Supplements

Hello everyone,

I just joined. I got my two baby girls last Friday. Their names are Annie and Patches. Patches is short-haired. Annie is an Abyssinian, I think. She looks like she has a secure case of bed-head! Both are adorable. Annie is a little better with me, Patches is still a little scared and runs away. I'll be working with her a little more so she's comfortable. Pics will come soon.

I know that they need Vitamin C supplements. I use a water bottle, so I do not want to use drops since, from what I understand, the Vitamin C will diminish quickly in water.

I went out and bought kale and parsley. Annie loves it and eats it from my hand. Patches won't. I thought maybe she was nervous about taking it from me, so I took Annie out and left it scattered around the cage (including in their food dish). I waited for about 20 minutes from across the room. Patches would sniff at it, but had no interest in eating it. She even pushed it away in their food dish to get to the pellets.

I then tried oranges. Again Annie took it right away. Patches had no interest.

Does anyone have any suggestions for a picky eater? I'll get the drops if needed, but I worry that she will not get enough. I've read that sometimes they will not drink the water if it has a different taste to it. I want to make sure that she's drinking!

What about crushing tablets and putting it in their food dish? Would it stick to the food? Maybe I can lightly mist the food first and then sprinkle the tablets on. Does the Vitamin C tablets break down too?

Sorry so long - thanks for the help!

Lisa
