Breeding can be extremely dangerous for the sows and babies. Please reconsider your choices. There are hundreds, if not thousands of guinea pigs out there that need adopting into homes. You mention that you want to find some for under $10. I have to wonder if you have the money, support, and other resources needed to take care of animals. Between cage building materials, bedding, pellets, unlimited amounts of hay, vegetables, other accessories (bowls, water bottles, cozies, possible toys), and any necessary vet costs, a single cavy can cost several hundred dollars a year. Multiply that by the number of pigs you have if you end up with sickly pigs. They aren't the cheap pets that a lot of people seem to think they are.
