I had the same thing happen to me when we got our piggy. She really didn't want to eat much of the salad. It could be that your piggy didn't like what you gave him . I've found out that Cookie doesn't like peppers, tomatoes or cucumbers and that was in the first salads I was giving her.
Just keep trying. In a few days he will realize that the salads are really good and he'll eat. He's also probably trying to adjust to his new home. Before you know it he'll look at you as his new family.
