I actually have seen 2 rooster farms. The ones where each chicken has his own house and chain around his foot. They shut them down and then they go back up. The laws keep changing here and it makes it hard to keep up. I know they can't fight them but the law changes as to if they can raise them for export.
I don't exactally know how to hunt down cockfighters on craigslist but I want to keep looking. Its a constant problem here.What makes it hard is that some people on the island are really poor and use the chickens and eggs for food. The average house rent here is $2300.00 a month. Sometimes you have several generations living in one house. The cost of living/income does not match the price for living. Food is also extremely expensive- $8.00 gal of milk.
If anyone wants to take on the cause for helping me hunt for cockfighting chicken sales heres the link. I know it a problem on all the islands. Oahu is the one I live on.
