There are risks with any type of invasive procedure/surgery. He would need to be kept away from the female for 3 weeks in order for the sperm to die off. Yes, it hurts them but good vets will provide a day or two's worth of pain medication for post-op recovery. As far as cost, call the vets in your area and see if they have experience in neutering piggies and how much they charge. Prices vary greatly. |
