It is part of Delaware's "First Annual Week for the Animals." It starts on April 19 (Earth Day) at the Brandywine Zoo.
Then on April 20 at Killen's Pond State Park, they are having a Family Fun day and Adoption Fair. There is more information at the website (I don't know how to post links and I can't find it right now) I know that Have-A-Heart Rescue will be there, along with many other rescue organizations of all types of animals. They will have animal friendly vendors and booths as well as games and rides for kids.
Then there are conferences and talks at the various animal shelters around the state for the rest of the week.
It sounds like lots of fun. I think we will go whether we are going to adopt another friend or not.
If you go to the Have-A-Heart website, it tells a little bit about it. It also says that you need to be pre-approved in order to adopt at the fair.
