I am a little confused if you really want to get a companion for the next say, possibly 5-7 or more years, why you would not be willing to make a good day of it to go get said compainion from wherever it is located, providing you have the physical means to get there...
If a suitable rescue bun is not available within 1 hour of you, why not go just a little further, maybe even 2 or 3 hours per say... I have traveled further, not everyone is willing, but if it is within the scope of a daytrip, what is the hold up? Go get em!
I also think that if one is not available now that you like, just wait a few weeks, and I bet that there will be one! It seems when you are looking, there are often none to be found, then when you are not looking, unwanted animals are coming out of your ears! Sometimes all this game requires is a little patience! |
