I don't know how to comment on the idea of slaughtering your own animals for food. I suppose that's better than having someone else do it for you ... which is why I said, "good for you."
I think the idea of "cruelty free meat" industries here in America are a joke. Free range and such are labels that don't mean anything ... they aren't regulated by any agency; there's no force behind them, which is what this thread is all about.
