I ordered 25 pounds of hay from KM, half bluegrass, half timothy, about 2 months ago. Looking at the hay, it seems as though I haven't even put a dent in it, even though I give them a big mound each day! It really does last a very long time and is SO much more economical than buying the smaller bags. You should definitely take the hay out of the bag it comes in (which I think is just a big garbage bag) and what you can do is just place it back into the shipping box it comes in. However, I bought a big, 40 gallon (I believe) plastic storage bin to keep it in just because it looks a little nicer.
