According to
Rabbit Rehome - Adopt an unwanted bunny from a rescue centre there is
SSPCA Ayr Animal Welfare Centre
Millview, No 4 Holding, Mainholm, Ayr, KA6 5HD
Tel: 01292 265975
There are many more on the list, and also
UK ANIMAL RESCUERS - HAMSTERS, GUINEAPIGS, RABBITS, FERRETS , but I don't know which you're willing to drive to.
I'm not sure how much you know about rabbits, and I don't want to come across as lecturing or condescending, but I don't know why you'd want one female. It sounds like you don't have one already, in which case it would probably be better to adopt two rabbits. They are social like cavies and humans. Even if you and/or others are around all the time, so the rabbit isn't lonely, the rabbit would still appreciate someone who can fully understand and talk rabbit language and do rabbit-things together. If you haven't yet, please go to
House Rabbit Society Rabbit Care Guide and read their Adoption, Care, Behavior, and Health sections.
FAQ: Should I Get a Second Rabbit talks about this specifically. (Hmm...reading it made me think I should contact them to ask them to specify there should be more than one guinea pig, and they should be not be allowed full contact with the rabbit.)
