Craigs list and newspaper just makes me nervous because if they are trying to hide it I don't think I would know if it was a breeder. I'll keep looking and hoping there is something I can do. Also if you find a pig listed on Craigslist or in the paper you can call and talk to the person, ask a ton of questions, ask why they are needing to re-home the pig. If they say they have several pigs they are giving away then they could be a breeder. Ask if males and females were housed seperatly. Also call your local spca and shelters and ask them if they get guinea pigs in. If you make it a habit to check craigslist and your paper every day then you should have some luck.
