| Re: Stubborn Piggies dont like their veggies! I think carrots and lettuces (not iceberg) are big hits with most piggies.
Frisky likes all lettuces, endive, radicchio, carrots, tomato, cilantro, parsley. The rescue said Parcheesi likes carrots, lettuces and kale. I wanted to get him some kale but didn't want to buy a huge bunch at the grocery store, so I'm hoping our other grocery offers smaller bunches!
I was hoping he'd like bell peppers and get Frisky used to the idea of eating them, but no. Now we have two piggies who ignore the bell pepper in their cage all day. I keep trying, but not every day. We just buy one for them once in a while and give it until we run out, or save them out a little piece if we are cooking with them.
Last summer, Frisky went crazy for corn husks! For fruit, we have been giving kiwi. Frisky likes it but I'm not sure about 'Cheesi yet. We've only been giving a small piece though, because I've been concerned about the sugar content. How much can they have? Can they have the skin too? |
