Re: Hay differences

Jane, if you check the expiration dates on the pet store timothy, you may find that it is as much as two years away. If you have a place to store a large, or semi-large, amount of hay, you just can't beat KM's hay. It is the current season's hay, so the food value is higher, and it is soft and sweet. The average price per pound is about the same as the pet store stuff and it is soooo much better hay. Besides, I found that when I was feeding pet store hay, they didn't always have it when I needed it. I also never knew what quality I was going to get. Alot of it was really stemmy. If you're really set on Kaytee, which I hope you're not, try Walmart. It's a little cheaper. And it is worth switching. There's no comparison.
