Kaytee hay is fine albeit it is more expensive and has more brown bits in it than buying better hay in bulk from sources like Oxbow or KM's. It's the pellets that need to be avoided. If you want to switch then go with either Oxbow, Kleenmama's (KM's) or Mazuri 5664.
