What is going on here?
i-love-nev if the hawk is not going to be your pet then what on earth are you going to do with it? If you are not going to care for it, cherish it, and promote its own best interests, then you have no business having one. Personally, I think you have no business owning a wild animal to begin with.

I will own a bird of prey, I will fly a bird of prey, if the bird goes after a rabbit, bird, squirrel etc isnt nothing I can do about it

Interesting contradictions you've got going on there. You will OWN a bird of prey; you will fly a bird of prey, but if the bird of prey actually catches something, it's not your fault; there's nothing you can do about it? Um, how about not owning a bird of prey to begin with?
How can you be trying to be a vegetarian (and one who is trying to convince others that animals are good for more than simply eating) and still engage in such a despicable practice? How can you in good conscience take in a wild animal and keep it from living a wild, natural life? How can you force it out to hunt for you, thus depriving other animals - by YOUR actions - of their very lives? What on earth makes this acceptable to you, as a vegetarian who supposedly cares enough about other animals to not eat them?
I find this whole thing just sickening and incredibly hypocritical. By owning this bird of prey and training it to hunt for you, you're doing as much damage to other living, sentient beings as if you went out and shot those animals with a gun yourself.
If you want to do this, then that's between you and your conscience. Most of our members, though, are going to see the contradictory nature between you claiming to be pro-rescue, yet buying a baby hawk (presumably from a breeder or, worse, snatching one directly out of the wild) and you claiming to be a vegetarian yet engaging in hunting (and not even hunting for food - hunting for pure sport.) Don't expect to get any kudos or support for this activity here.
ETA: I think you've gotten enough help for your "project", thus, I feel there's no need for this thread to stay open.
