I hate to say that the owner's response doesn't shock me at all. I've come to expect it from pet stores. Why is it that more pet stores don't offer animals up for adoption instead of "restocking" them from a breeder? If the money is in the supplies and not the pet, wouldn't it be a feasible option? I am picking up two new girls tomorrow morning at a Humane Society adoption center located inside a Petsmart. I hate to have to go through the store to get to them- I wonder if they sell animals as well? I just don't understand the reasoning of these chain stores.
