There is another brand of margarine here that doesn't contain any animal products, it's made by Becel, ( Celebrity maybe?). Most margarines only contain trace amounts of dairy--here anyway. I really like the Toffuti cream cheese! As far as a cheddar or mozerrella-like cheese, I haven't found anything either
Most are slimy and stinky. If you try the toffuti and Earth Balance and like them you could ask your local store to start carrying it. Some stores will do that for you, and either way it doesn't hurt to ask.
