If you are going to invest in fleece I would say go with a detergent that has no scent to it. I use cheer free and gentle, its free of dyes and perfumes and claims to be dermatologist recommended. I found that using a detergent with a scent caused some funky smelling laundry to come out (my girls drink water like its going out of style and pee a lot). Another reason I wouldn't use a detergent with a scent is because the piggies are probably going to have their faces in the fleece most of the day since they are so low to the ground so inhaling that detergent smell probably gets old. Also Borax is a must! I was told about it from another forum. Its fantastic, you just put it in with your stinky piggy fleece and it boosts your normal detergent. I usually wash two pieces of fleece at a time with a towel or two, and they come out free of virtually any scent!
