Re: I can't tame my Guinea Pigs :(

Just give the guinea pig some time and things should turn around. I have 15 guinea pigs and only 1 of them is actually coming to me. All the others run. The one that comes to me is around 5 years old too. They are prey animals and need that sense to be safe in the wild, same with rabbits. You have to earn their trust and it could take a couple of weeks to years and years. Alot of it depends on what you do. Giving them up should not be the answer.

Your pig is only 7 months old, so expect it to be scared. Just pick it up and play with it. The more you do so, the more likely the pig will come around. They are both young and still have the wild instinct in them, but since they are young you have a chance to change that.

Veggies arent the only way to get your gp to trust you. Just spending time with them will help. For example my guinea pig called mama is around 10 months old and when we got her, which was earlier this year, she would run. The other day I went into the room and touched her without her running or sqeaking. So it took time but it worked.
